Press release

Trailside Galleries reaches a new milestone as it celebrates 55 years of excellence in western and wildlife art.  To commemorate the event, the gallery is hosting a gala champagne reception on the evening of August 24 from 5:00- 7:00 pm.

Collectors will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with many of the gallery artists in attendance and to view a large selection of new artwork created specifically for this special event.

Trailside Galleries helped birth the enthusiasm for quality western art at a time when representational art received little respect from critics across the country. Early on, Trailside made it clear that western art was not merely a fleeting trend, but a lasting genre that would speak of the country’s heritage for generations to come.  Today, the gallery continues to represent many of the finest western painters and sculptors in the country but has also embraced the “new west” created by a younger, new generation of artists who are portraying a more contemporary viewpoint of the west.

Fifty- five years in the Jackson Hole art market has also made the gallery a principal purveyor of iconic wildlife art. With Yellowstone and Teton National Park at its doorstep, the gallery has played a pivotal role in developing wildlife artists and promoting the genre of wildlife on a national if not international level.
