Fall Classics

November 3-15, 2014
Artist Reception: Saturday, November 15, 2014, 1-4pm

Scottsdale, Arizona…November 15, 2014–Trailside Galleries is pleased to present its annual Fall Classics Exhibition and Sale, featuring all new works by the gallery’s roster of artists.  The exhibition is on display from November 3-15, 2014

The show will have a strong emphasis on western imagery but will also have important works with subjects ranging from wildlife, impressionistic works, sporting art, landscapes and figurative pieces. During this event, the gallery will also be presenting individual showcases for artists Z.S. Liang and Robert Duncan.

Z.S. Liang’s rich and compelling paintings of Native American culture and tradition clearly resonate with collectors who find depth and quality in his storytelling narratives. His penchant for detail combined with the historical and narrative elements of his paintings have firmly established him among the ranks of the finest western representational painters in the country. During the reception Liang will be signing copies of his new book, Native Trails-Fresh Tracks, which has just been released by Greenwich workshop.  The informative text, by writer and painter Tom Saubert, discusses the historical period as well as the artist’s approach to his work.  With over 70 full color plates, this book is a must have for Liang fans and collectors.

Robert Duncan, a former award-wining member of the Cowboy Artists of America, has returned in recent years to painting the subjects that first caught the attention of collectors and vaulted him to superstardom in the world of western art.  His depictions of historic plains Indians, particularly the Crow, Blackfoot and Ute, are infused with emotion and dramatic back lighting.

Other artists participating in the Fall Classics show include Jim Norton, Dan Mieduch, Mike Malm, Steve Atkinson, Bill Nebeker, Logan Maxwell Hagege, John DeMott, Cynthia Rigden, Brenda Murphy, Richard D. Thomas, Jeremy Browne, Stan Davis, Bruce Cheever and many others.
