KYLE SIMS-SHOWCASE OF NEW WORKS
OCTOBER 1-31, 2014

Jackson, WY….October, 2014-The month of October in Jackson Hole provides wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts with a wonderful opportunity to see nature and its wildlife residents in a setting of soft, autumnal light and earthy fall colors.   For artist Kyle Sims, the scene provides an endless supply of subject matter to paint: elk, mountain goats, bears, as well as smaller species including fox and cottontail rabbits.

Trailside Galleries is pleased to bring this magnificent wildlife setting indoors, with a special showcase of new works by Kyle Sims that will be on exhibit throughout the month of October.  Sims, who this year celebrates his 10th anniversary of representation at Trailside Galleries, quickly gained national recognition for his wildlife art while still in his early 20’s and has gone on to be recognized as one of the top wildlife painters in the country.

Painting from life and with a sense of immediacy, Sims puts the viewer in the wild through the use of his finely rendered landscaped interpretations and portrayal of its wild inhabitants.

Kyle Sims has received numerous awards for his original works, most recently the 2009 Major General and Mrs. Don D. Pittman Wildlife Award at the Prix De West and the 2013 Bob Kuhn Wildlife Award at the Masters of the American West Fine Art Exhibition and Sale.
